Posted 06/08/2009
A government body, the Energy Saving Trust has advised the government to ban the sale of poorly insulated homes in order that the government can reach its target of reducing carbon emmissions from home heating by 29% by 2020.
All homes being sold or rented must now have an energy efficiency report. The report ranks the property in one to seven bands, from A - G. The Trust has advised the government to make it illegal to sell homes rated lower than a E from 2015 onwards.
