House Prices Rise

Posted 06/08/2009

Things seem to be looking more positive for the nations housing market.  Both Nationwide and the Halifax have reported over a 1% increase in house prices over the last month, which is a consecutive rise for the previous three months.

The average house price for a home in the UK is now £158,871, which is the highest level since February 2007.  These statistics may point to a recovery in the housing market by the end of the year.  The year on year rate is continuing to improve since prices fell sharply in the seond half of last year.
